The House Boy will have body measurements taken on a periodic and weekly basis. Weekly measurements include height, weight, scrotum and chest circumference, penis length, and other measurements covered by specific rules. Periodic measurements may be ordered for good reason at any time. The boy is also subject to additional measurements as diagrammed in this chart, on an ‘As ‘Ordered’ basis but at least once monthly. These measurements are usually taken at the same time as a daily or weekly inspection, but occasionally at other times.

Completed inspection charts are kept with the boy’s journal, and may be viewed by any house guest on request. Changes in dimensions are used to track the boy’s health and fitness and may result in additional inspections or changes in fitness goals. Measurements are usually taken by the Master unless a visitor volunteers to assist. It is the responsibility of the House Boy to ensure that proper measurements are legibly recorded on the appropriate form.

Full body measurements are always taken with the House Boy standing completely naked, regardless of who may be present and could observe. These measurements are also taken as part of each prospective House Boy’s Pre-Collaring Inspection, after the required washing and before the functional assessment of each body part.

Any body part is subject to random or ‘for cause’ inspection at any time. The Master will determine the inspection procedure unless a specific protocol or rule has been issued. Guests are welcome to volunteer to assist with any inspection unless prohibited by rule or protocol.
