There is a drought in California, and water restrictions are in effect. The House Boy will not unnecessarily leave the water running indoors or out. This includes leaving the shower to get shampoo or other supplies. It is the responsibility of the boy to have all supplies and equipment needed before beginning a shower or other water project. While failure to plan is not punishable, leaving the water running while exiting the shower is inappropriate. The proper protocol calls for the water to be shut off, any supplies retrieved, and the shower protocol restarted from the beginning. The Master appreciates assistance from visitors to ensure that shower protocol is not violated.
