Interpretation – Communication in Public Restrooms
When traveling with the Master, the House Boy is generally prohibited from beginning communication with strangers in public areas, unless permission has been granted. Quick non-verbal communication such as the flashing of a peace sign or hang ten are normally not a violation and are not punishable. (See Below, Interpretation #18: Communication With Strangers).
When a House Boy is using any type of toilet or urinal facilities in a public or semi-public location, he is not to use non-verbal hand communication, because it may be misinterpreted as a solicitation for sexual contact, and House Boys are not permitted to seek their own sexual connections. Violation is also considered a breach of safety protocol and subject to punishment up to a Level Three Spanking for insubordination, though first offenses are generally punished at Level One or Level Two if flagrant.
