Interpretation – Showering at Gym and Other Facilities
The House Boy is not required to be naked any time or any place where nudity is not legal or traditional. This includes shower facilities at gyms and other places where rules and signs prohibiting nudity are actively enforced and complied with by the membership. Master will not pay to join facilities that prohibit nudity but may visit these places when traveling. In these situations, the boy will be permitted the minimum clothing or covering commonly used by members.
At gyms or other places where communal shower facilities are traditionally used naked by some members, the House Boy is required to follow the same shower protocol as at home, including showering naked and uncovered. The presence of others who are showering while wearing shorts or trunks does not excuse the boy from his responsibility to shower naked and follow all protocols, or risk punishment for disobedience.
