The House Boy is required to serve naked at home, regardless of who may be present or what he is doing 24 hours a day. He is required to sleep naked without covers, though his bedroom does have a thermostat he can control for comfort. The Master has the right to remove the bedroom door and when there is a door the boy is not permitted to close it at any time. New House Boys are given the option of an adjustment period where the boy can alternate nights sleeping with and without covers, but even a newly collared boy will be naked without covers on all Friday nights without exception (See below, Rule #131).

It is a primary rule that the House Boy has no right to privacy at any time, including his rest and sleep periods. It does not matter that the boy is naked, nor that he may be unaware of his surroundings. The Master and any house guest have full right to enter the boy’s bedroom and passively observe at any time, even when the boy is asleep or doing something that might be embarrassing. Examples of these include receiving discipline, playing on the Wii, receiving his weekly cleansing enema, or even during an erotic dream. The House Boy has no right and no say about who has access to his bedroom or who is allowed to observe any activity whatsoever.

In the example photo, the Naked House Boy is sleeping soundly after being sent to bed early, while the Master visits with a former co-worker and his wife who are traveling through town and will be spending the night in the guest room. When one of the guests excuses himself to use the bathroom, the guest becomes curious about something in the boy’s room and enters for a closer look. This is perfectly appropriate, and the Master would never question a friend about his or her motive for entering the boy’s room since the wishes of house guests always outrank those of the boy. If the guest wanted to, he could even kick the boy out of the bed to use it himself, and every House Boy must accept that his right to occupy space – including furniture like beds and fixtures like showers – is outranked by the desire of any other person who demands to use the same space or fixture at any time.
