Washing & Grooming – Hosing
Hosing is the preferred method of showering and washing hair when a standard bath or shower facility is unavailable for any reason. Hosing may also be assigned or ordered as a punishment for actions or inactions that result in the need for cleaning. Hosing is an assigned duty that will take place as ordered, regardless of who may be present and could observe. The boy shall cooperate fully to assure that proper washing and rinsing are completed. Water pressure will be set at a level that can not cause permanent harm but is still strong enough to clean those hard-to-reach places. The Master appreciates offers by guests to assist in carrying out this task. A cleanliness inspection must follow all washings by hosing. The boy will return and replace all hoses and equipment and thank any volunteers who have provided equipment or assistance. Spot cleaning of the House Boy is covered under a separate rule.
