Commands & Protocols – Hands To Knees
The command ‘Hands To Knees’ is the seated equivalent of the ‘At Ease’ Command (See below, Rule #167). The House Boy shall sit upright with feet touching and knees spread wide. Hands should be placed on kneecaps. This command may be given before the assignment of a task or chore, or before physical inspection or punishment. While there may be a natural tendency for the boy to smirk or show frustration at being given this physically revealing command in front of others, he must still take care to maintain a neutral expression or risk punishment. The boy in this photo is pushing his limits and risks immediate punishment in front of whoever happens to be present at the time. He is the House Boy and has no right to privacy.
