Objectification – Video Screen

The House Boy may be Objectified (ordered to become an object) at any time or location, and the boy is required to obey instructions for objectification without hesitation, regardless of circumstance. Objectification orders are effective instantly, and the House Boy will have no opportunity to respond or even ask questions or for instructions. His obligation is to immediately obey, period.

In the event a House Boy does not understand or needs clarification of an Objectification order, protocol calls for him to tilt his head slightly with a quizzical look to plead for more information. Regardless of circumstance, it is always the boy’s fault if an Objectification order from the Master can not or is not carried out properly, unless it is unsafe or illegal or physically impossible to do so. If the House Boy feels he can not carry out an order and he violates protocol to verbally ask for clarification, the boy will sustain a Level One Punishment for ‘questioning’, to be enforced during or after the objectification.

The Master rarely Objectifies his boys for time periods of longer than 15 or 20 minutes. Longer times can be difficult for some boys serving as stationary objects, and the Master wishes to care for and protect his House Boys. Still, there may be times where Objectification is desired by guests or practical for other reasons, and the Master will occasionally hold the boy in a Objectified Status for as long as one hour. Boys who are Objectified for the maximum time will be permitted twenty minutes of ‘down time’ before they may be Objectified again.

In the example photo, a House Boy has been objectified as a Display Screen for the in-house Xbox Gaming System after an electronic display stopped working. The Master hadn’t considered using the boy in this manner, but one of the younger visitors suggested Objectifying the House Boy using a projection device as a temporary solution. When new uses for Objectifying the boy are found, the Master will sometimes go along with the idea just to see how well it works out. In this case, the flat screen isn’t so flat but the younger visitors kept laughing and chatting and having a good time, so the Master let the gaming continue for another full hour even though the temporary Display Screen already has a crack right down the center.

Other examples of objectification include performing duties as tables, coat racks, backyard clotheslines, tetherball poles or gaming targets for backyard games like ‘Ring Toss’ or ‘Pin The Tail’. Links to some of these examples are shown below.
