The House Boy must maintain cleanliness and follow his washing schedule regardless of circumstance. When running water is unavailable due to lack of availability or when traveling (or due to punishment) the boy will be directed to an appropriate location to wash using alternate water sources (such as bottled water, sponge bath, or alcohol wipes). Washing remains a scheduled activity and will take place regardless of who may be present and could observe. Due to the difficult nature of bathing under challenging conditions, the use of implements like brushes or chamois or assistance from the Master or another person may be used to ensure a clean boy after the washing process. The House Boy will be provided clothing or covering sufficient to cover the penis, scrotum, and anus if washing must take place where nudity is not legal or traditional.
