Inspection Protocol – Testicle Inspection (Scrotum Inspection)
The House Boy is subject to a variety of physical inspections, including daily and periodic full-body inspections, and inspections of any body part as scheduled or ordered by the Master. The Testicle Inspection – also known as the Scrotum Inspection – is part of the boy’s Daily Inspection but may also be ordered at any time. Since this procedure requires the boy’s clothing to be removed below the waist, the inspection may only take place at home or where nudity is legal or traditional. If the boy is traveling with the Master when this inspection is needed, the Master may order the boy into a restroom or other suitable location before baring the inspection area.
Protocol for the Testicle Inspection calls for cupping of fingers underneath the inspection area, then gently rolling each testicle between finger and thumb to examine for lumps or other issues. A close look at the surface skin for signs of rash is also advisable. For this reason, the Master may order that the scrotal sack be shaved or smoothed, even if the boy is otherwise allowed pubic hair. The Master may also decide that the boy’s penis needs to be moved to allow full access to the inspection area.
Due to the ease of injury to this area of the body, volunteers are not permitted to cup or hold the boy’s testicles, nor administer shaving outside of the boy’s normal grooming schedule, so this inspection is usually conducted only by the Master. If any issues are found, the boy may be ordered to submit to a functionality assessment, a reexamination under more suitable conditions, or even a cancer screening.
Gentle washing or rinsing of the inspection area may be required before or after inspection. The Testicle Inspection is also part of every House Boy’s Pre-Collaring Inspection and Familiarization.
