The House Boy is subject to various types of punishment, from Level Zero (non-contact discipline) to Level Four (immediate banishment, whether naked or not). The most common type of punishment is spanking. When the House Boy has committed a minor violation that impacts the Master or a guest who is not present, the boy may be assigned to compose a written apology or write sentences. Presentation of the written discipline must be made by the House Boy to the Master (or whoever was offended) with the boy on his knees and the apology or written assignment clearly visible. The House Boy must be naked during this process, though footwear is optional. It will be a Level One violation if the boy’s genitals are blocked during this process. As noted in the photo, a boy who happens to be in chastity is not an excuse from wearing the device during the presentation of the apology.
