Interpretation – Hug Command (Inanimate Object)
Master’s House Boy is required to serve naked at home, regardless of what duties or chores are being carried out or who happens to be present and could observe. He is the House Boy and has no right to privacy. When traveling outside the home, the House Boy is given sufficient clothing or covering to comply with the law and any dress codes, but may be required to undress any time or place that nudity is legal or traditional.
The House Boy also has a list of commands and protocols to follow, and one of those is the ‘Hug’ command (See ‘Verbal Command: Hug’). When this command is given, the boy is required to hug Master or whoever the command is directed at with a name or reference following the word 'hug’ (Example: 'Hug Michael’).
The Hug Command can also be given with an inanimate object – like a teddy bear or pillow – as the subject to receive the hug, and the House Boy is required to fully comply just like he was hugging a real living person. The fact that the inanimate object can not give a hug in return has no bearing on the legitimacy of the command. When obeying an order to hug any object, the boy should be alert to avoid injury and must remain aware of the possibility of unanticipated outcomes, such as the vibration of a washing machine being hugged causing the boy to grow an unexpected erection in a public laundromat setting).
In the example photo, the House Boy has arrived at the head of a beach trail and been ordered to 'Hug the Sign’. The boy’s nudity is explained by the wording of the sign: 'Optional Dress Beach’, so the boy is required to undress at the sign unless a nearby highway or clothing prohibited parking area is visible from the sign. Observing the protocol, the boy uses both hands to properly hug the sign and holds the hug position for at least 60 seconds or until he is given another command. It is never appropriate for the boy to choose a negative facial expression during any Hug Command, and doing so without permission could bring punishment or an order to hug again with more enthusiasm.
