As part of his regular duties and chores, the Naked House Boy may be assigned to participate in Old Fashioned Reading Time (nickname ‘Old Fart’), silently perusing or studying fiction or non-fiction books or other printed and published material on traditional paper (including magazines, manuscripts or historical documents), reading without aid or distraction of modern electronic devices such as phones, headsets, tablets and computers.
