The Master’s House Boy is required to serve naked at home and has no right to privacy, regardless of who may be present (or drop-in) and could observe. If the boy fails to obey the rules or meet expectations, he is subject to loss of privileges or punishment. Discipline is usually by spanking, with more serious violations bringing harsher punishment.

In the example photo, a misbehaving House Boy is receiving a Level Two Spanking. Spanking at this level is unrestrained, but requires the use of an implement, like a ruler or yardstick. The boy is always naked for this discipline, though footwear need not be removed at the Master’s discretion. The Master tends to use rulers or yardsticks when punishment needs to be immediate, with no prior announcement. The measuring stick may be made of any materials, but wood is the most common. A boy who breaks any wooden measuring stick with his buttocks while receiving punishment is subject to having punishment begin again (without credit for swats already received), providing another measuring stick is available. If another can not be quickly found, the punishment is considered complete and no more swats assigned. Discipline using a measuring stick may take place with the boy in any position, subject to the law of gravity. If a second stick breaks, punishment is considered complete.

Responsible and obedient House Boys should never receive punishment at this level, and the Master has had boys serve for long periods of time and never earn a spanking. House Boys who lack self-control or suffer from inner brattiness, however, will become familiar with this type of discipline. The boy's actions determine whether this punishment is merely a page in the rule book for guests to laugh about or a reality for them to observe. Guests will not be permitted to administer punishment at this level without reading safety guidelines or observing an actual Level Two punishment first.
