The Naked House Boy is responsible for washing tires and wheels during each vehicle wash, for properly returning all supplies after use, and for adding needed supplies to the shopping list when necessary.

The House Boy is required to carry out a variety of duties and chores. These include daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal chores, as well as other duties that are required on-demand or when external conditions mandate. The Tire And Wheel Wash is both an on-demand chore and a sub-chore that is included in any Vehicle Wash and Shine except at self-wash facilities away from home. Vehicle Wash and Shine is generally scheduled weekly in the warm spring-to-autumn months and less often in winter or inclement weather.

All necessary materials for auto-related duties, including cleaning supplies, washing products, and related equipment like hoses and buckets, spray nozzles and appropriate cleaning chamois and towels are provided. It is the responsibility of the House Boy to return supplies and equipment to their proper locations and report any deficiencies to the Master for follow-up. The House Boy is also responsible for listing any items needed for restock or replacement to the appropriate shopping lists promptly.

All vehicles which need Tire And Wheel Wash, including those scheduled for Vehicle Wash and Shine, will be parked on the Master’s property and out of street view. Since the washing area is landscaped for privacy, the House Boy is required to remain naked regardless of who may be visiting and could observe. Appropriate footwear, cap or hat, and washing-related safety equipment like gloves or glasses are permitted.

From time to time, the Master may offer or instruct the House Boy to offer vehicle or tire wash as a courtesy to a visitor who happens to be present with a vehicle, though no one is ever invited with this in mind. If it is necessary for the House Boy to move a vehicle from nearby street parking, he is permitted to wear a single item of Minimal Clothing like shorts or a bathrobe during the time he is in or near public view.

When Vehicle Wash and Shine is assigned off property at a self-serve and coin-operated wash location, the required Tire and Wheel Wash may be completed using only the sprayer and brush provided on-site, with no additional scrubbing or wiping. The House Boy is not required to remove any clothing in these circumstances, but he is also not permitted to put on or add new clothing or covering unless it is necessary for health or safety reasons.

A House Boy who wears any clothing or covering which may become transparent during an auto or tire wash activity should work in a manner that will keep the items dry and presentable at all times. Dampness is not punishable but the House Boy is solely responsible for any negative consequences which may result from his carelessness in allowing garments to become wet during the washing process.
