Command – ‘Clasp Hands’ (or ‘Clasp’)
The command to Clasp Hands requires the boy to immediately stop what he is doing and place his hands behind his neck with fingers interlocked and wait for further instructions. It does not matter where or under what circumstances this command is given by the Master, the boy is expected to immediately obey unless it would be unsafe to do so (See ‘Paramount Rule’). A neutral expression is appropriate for the boy while waiting for follow-up instructions.
This command usually precedes either a physical inspection or some kind of washing (including hosing down after outdoor time) or is used as a demonstration command to show obedience in front of other Masters or boys.
This command may be issued by friends or house guests of the Master when it is suspected that the boy may have violated a rule. The boy is required to be informed of the rule he is suspected of violating, and then must clasp hands and hold still as if the Freeze Command was issued under these circumstances.
On rare occasions, this command may be given prior to Objectification of the House Boy, to allow for preparatory tasks like cleaning, polishing, and/or repositioning or arms or legs or other body parts for objectification. In this circumstance, the boy may be issued positioning commands like 'Sit’, 'Lay Down’, or 'Raise Knees’ to assume the proper stance for objectification. Closing addition or removal will be handled by the Master or a volunteer.
