Violation – Unauthorized Naps (During Down Time)
The House Boy will not take unauthorized naps or sleep during his free time without specific permission from the Master, or he will be subject to a Level One Spanking along with punishment for any other simultaneous violations.
In the example photo, this House Boy has nodded off in the early morning hours after waking up and making the Master’s coffee, but before the time the Master wishes to be awakened. The boy is subject to punishment for both the unauthorized nap and for having a foot on the furniture without permission. An unauthorized nap is any period of 60 seconds or more in which the House Boy has both eyes closed without permission, except in the case of assigned sleep or rest periods or illness or injury.
Violation is cause for a single swat Level One Spanking if the buttocks are visible while he is napping, or three swats at Level One if the buttocks are substantially hidden, as shown in this example. Anyone who catches the house boy taking an unauthorized nap has the right to announce and administer this punishment. Any House Boy disciplined under this rule must face and apologize to whoever reported or announced the violation.
While the discipline for this violation may seem minor, the boy risks more serious punishment if he fails to awaken the Master on time, because that is a scheduled duty that is separately punishable and the boy would also be subject to discipline for ‘Sleeping In The Job’ (See below, Rule #89).
