Master’s House Boy is required to serve naked 24/7 at home, and even sleeps naked in a room without a door, regardless of house guests that may come and go and could observe. As the House Boy, he has no right to privacy and his uniform is ‘Clothing Prohibited’, though footwear like socks or slippers is optional. His bathroom does have a door, but he is not allowed to close it during showering, grooming, urinating, or any other activity, except when an unpleasant smell is expected or a guest wishes it closed, because the boy has no right to privacy of his bodily functions, either.

To ensure that the House Boy is properly supervised, it is a rule that the bathroom must be properly lighted at all times it is occupied by the boy. During the daytime when natural lighting is sufficient to allow the boy’s activities to be seen, the use of artificial lighting is at the boy’s option, unless the Master or a guest requests otherwise. The same is true if external lighting keeps the bathroom bright enough that the boy’s body is clearly visible either directly or when viewed through the bathroom mirror.

At night or when natural and external lighting conditions are poor, the House Boy is required to turn on the bathroom light immediately on entering, so that his body can be clearly seen. This should be done before the boy passes the opened entry door, as shown in the example photo. It is not an excuse for the boy to claim that he ‘had to pee really, really bad’ or that he 'forgot’ about the bathroom lighting rule. When power is out, the boy is required to ask permission from everyone present within view of the bathroom door before using the facility without lighting. When leaving the bathroom, the boy should turn off the lighting to save energy.

Failure to properly light or sunlight the bathroom is a single swat Level One Spanking, plus one additional swat for every guest present at the time of the violation. A visitor who complains about improper lighting that the Master did not notice will have the right to administer the punishment on request. Corner Time is not served after this violation. The presence of a night light inside the bathroom (standard or automatic) will excuse the boy from using manual lighting only when no visitors or house guests are present on the property, and the boy assumes responsibility for maintenance or failure of the night light.

When the House Boy is using the properly lighted bathroom and a power failure causes the lighting to darken, the boy is required to immediately exit the bathroom and ask the Master for permission to continue using the bathroom. There is no exception for any reason, and the Master will explain the rule to guests if the boy emerges soapy from a shower or some other unusual circumstance occurs. The boy should keep in mind that power may be occasionally interrupted when the Master is working on electrical appliances or using items that cause a breaker to trip unexpectedly.
