The Master’s House Boy is required to live naked at home and sleep naked in a bedroom with no door. His bathroom has a door, but he is usually not permitted to close it. This is because the House Boy is the lowest person in the pecking order at the Master’s home, and the Master or visitors have the right to co-occupy the bathroom (or any other space) or even demand that the boy vacate a room at any time. The boy is also required to use towels on hand for drying after a bath or shower, and to do so in a way that does not conceal or cover his genitals to avoid punishment.

Since any house guest has the right to enter the bathroom at any time, there will be occasions where a guest may need to use or even remove the towel that is assigned for the House Boy to dry off. The Master would never insult a guest by requiring that he or she ask permission to take a towel or use supplies like soap or toilet tissue. Whenever this occurs, the boy may find himself without expected supplies or minus a drying towel when exiting the bath or shower. The protocol calls for the boy to ‘Report’ to the entrance door of the bathroom (See below Rule #8: Report Position) and call for the Master to ask permission to retrieve or use an alternate towel, or alternate supplies. The Boy should remain standing naked in the Report Position until the request has been responded to.

In the case of towel requests, it’s not unusual for the House Boy to be wet, and water may drip onto the flooring as he waits. While he will not be punished for getting the floor wet, it is his responsibility to wipe up the dampness after drying himself off to prevent someone else from slipping on the wet flooring. If the boy does not receive a response from the Master or a guest within a minute or two, the boy will need to exit the bathroom and find someone who can assist. When making requests for towels and supplies on an immediate basis, the boy should be respectful and report with eyes cast downward. If one of the boy’s authorized towels is unavailable or damp, the Master may dry off the boy or allow a volunteer to help while using a guest towel or other drying device. For safety reasons, air dryers and blow dryers will not be used where they could fall into the water or otherwise be a risk of electric shock.

Each violation of any part of this rule is punishable with a Level One Spanking. Punishment may be carried out before the boy is dried off. The boy is also subject to inspection or re-washing for any reason at any time. The Master appreciates offers by visitors to assist the boy with any duty or chore. When a conflict occurs where the boy has a subsequent indoor duty or chore but has not yet dried off from a bath or shower, the boy must begin the new duty or chore before drying, unless his wetness presents a clear and present safety threat.
