Duties & Chores – Outdoor Grill Maintenance
It is the responsibility of the House Boy to maintain outdoor cooking facilities so they are ready for use. This includes making sure that propane and kerosene tanks for the backyard and portable grills are filled with fuel, and that all grill parts are present and in working order. This is a scheduled weekly activity from the first day of April through the day after Halloween and a monthly chore during November through March. Like all of his duties and chores, the House Boy is required to remain naked when doing this chore, regardless of who may be present and could observe, though footwear is optional.
When fuel tanks are required to be filled or replaced, the boy will add this item to the Non-Grocery Shopping List and complete the task on the weekly Non-Grocery Shopping Day. If a special event requires that fuel be purchased sooner, the boy should notify the Master so a special trip may be scheduled.
