The Master-slave Handbook
Training: Overview
Phase 1: Compatibility: This phase typically begins online, where Master and slave establish whether there is common ground to explore and pursue. A potential slave will initially be asked various questions about their intentions and their suitability, and if successful, would be invited to complete a slave application form. Once this is completed and if accepted, then slave would be requested to attend a formal interview and inspection.
Assuming the interview and inspection meeting is successful, a short trial period would immediately follow, where the parameters of the potential relationship are to be worked out.
During this trial period of commitment, slave has the right to reflect regularly on their training, and slave may conclude that training is not suitable for their type of slavery, and may thus want to cease any further training. During this period, Master David may conclude that slave is not suitable. The relationship has to be right and workable for both people in order to succeed. However, if both people are in agreement after this initial short trial period and decide to commit to each other for further development of the Master-slave relationship, then the next stage of the journey can commence.
Phase 2: Commitment: The purpose of this phase of training is to potentially prepare a slave for birth and long-term ownership. What birth actually is will be discussed by length by Master David and slave during this important developmental time.
This phase has three core areas of focus: the slave’s mind, the slave’s body and the slave’s spirit. These areas will be worked on through structured and planned training as well as through a means of disclosure, where Master and slave establish an effective system of communication which enables the Master to understand his slave and to provide the slave with the means he needs to fulfil himself more securely in his role.
This training and method of disclosure will help to refine, devise and establish the principles of service which would be established incrementally henceforth, and would be explored more fully and made secure in phase three of training.
Also in this phase slave will be collared by his Master, though a potential slave must understand that collaring does not equate yet with full ownership. During this phase slave is not fully owned, and this phase lasts as long as necessary, usually months, sometimes years, to train the slave with the necessary skills an owned, born slave requires.
It is sometime during this phase that a Master requiring a full-time, live-in slave moves the slave into his home.
During this period, a contract of commitment would be discussed and signed.
Phase 3: Development: After a short phase one and a much longer phase two, phase three is relatively short. Phase three is primarily concerned with the preparations for the birth event and making last-minute training adjustments to enable a slave to live the lifestyle completely, as an owned slave.
This phase of training will begin with a long session spread over some days spent preparing for ownership and making preparations for the birth. The structure and content of the birth ceremony would be discussed in great detail, and planning and preparation for this important event will need to be done carefully and comprehensively. Birth as a slave is a rite of passage, a turning point in slavery, and training towards it needs to be exact and appropriate, and this moment needs to be celebrated, both privately and publicly, with those in the lifestyle.
By this time, the owned slave’s Principles of service would be fully established. A slave would have been fully trained in behaviour, expectations, rituals, and all aspects of service, though, of course, due to the developmental nature of relationships, things evolve, change, and adapt. Broadly speaking, the foundations for slavery, at this time, are firm and solid, and the hierarchical nature of slavery is fully established. Now, the slave would be expected to carry out the owned slave’s principles of service in their entirety and be committed to slavery and to their Master permanently, for life.
In this phase, the slave becomes ‘born’ as slave. A birth ceremony is planned and will take place towards the beginning of this phase once some initial preparation and planning have taken place. This birth process enables the relationship to be taken to a deeper level.
During this phase, a contract of development would be discussed and signed.
It is during this phase that Master and slave actually begin to live the lifestyle as Master and slave comfortably and securely, without the pretence of role-play or the awkwardness of ignorance.
Phase 4: Ownership: This final phase flows quite naturally out of phase three and is a natural extension. By now, the interpersonal dynamics between a Master and his slave would be more firmly established. The first part of the Master-slave journey together would be complete. Both Master and slave would have established a sustainable, ever-maturing and evolving, effective Master-slave partnership. New goals would be established as Master and slave live together more fully as Master and slave, living and enjoying the lifestyle. Training never ends and the relationship continues to grow and deepen. During this phase, a contract of ownership would be discussed and signed.
This is not a time, however, to abandon the slavery and the hard work placed on the ongoing training and development, this is not a time for complacency and mere routine, this is a time to allow the slavery to really become alive, as a real lifestyle choice, a time to live out the slavery for real, every day.
It will be necessary to bring a slave back to his birth experience during this time of maturity in order to maintain the slavery that has been created and nurtured. Refocusing on the birth event, re-exploring emotions and feelings concerned with birth, and enabling a slave to reconnect with his innate slavery often will keep the slavery alive and fresh, and it is important to keep the slavery alive within the relationship, especially during this final period.
