The Master receives a number of anonymous questions and comments each week. Sometimes the questions and comments are straightforward and can be answered privately or even posted online for others to learn from. Other times the intent of the sender isn’t clear, especially when multiple submissions arrive about the same time.

These three comments came in not long ago, and the Master isn’t even clear if they were sent from the same person or from three different senders. It’s nice that our followers are pleased with the various Rules and Protocols – and even sweeter that they write to say so – but the Master also observes that it’s easy for a reader to misinterpret the practical application of some rules.

In the first anonymous submission, we see that the sender is relating a story about his prior service, and comparing it to this Master’s Rules and Protocols. Ok fine, we get that. Thank You for sending us your story. It’s always nice to learn how another Master deals with his boys, and it gives insight into the character and philosophy of both the boy submitting the story and the previous Master.

The second anonymous submission tells us about this boy’s three favorite rules, which I ask a boy to send when he wishes to apply to serve. So is this anonymous sender wishing to apply? Or just coincidentally mentioning his favorite rules? The Master does note that the sender is under the impression that all House Boys are required to lock their anus, which isn’t necessarily true. The rule says that boys with religious or personal objections may opt-out, and about 80% do. (The rule is in place for Chastity Boys and those with a plug fetish or who wish to remain ‘pure’ during their terms of service). And if the sender actually does wish to apply, how would the Master ever communicate with an anonymous applicant?

The third anonymous submission relates a story about a boy’s previous service to a Dom who enforced strict clothing controls like this Master does. Requiring a boy to remain naked reinforces the status of the Master as the Superior, so I totally understand. On those rare occasions where it’s legal for a boy to pack the Master’s things and carry them out naked, I’d require the same (and this is clearly spelled out in the rules). From a practical sense, of course, public nudity is usually not an option, so my boys are usually wearing ‘something’ (even if it’s just a pair of speedos) when performing this duty. The Master does like that the anonymous writer “gets” the rule.

What the Master doesn’t “get” is whether these three anonymous submissions are the work of three different senders, or is it the same anonymous writer who sent all three? They arrived within minutes of each other, but other submissions from different senders arrived about the same time too. There’s no way to know, of course, and this post isn’t meant to actually root out the answer to these rhetorical questions. One of the techniques that an effective Master uses is to resolve issues with his boys, and this carries over to the Master’s in-box, which is full of unresolved anonymous submissions. Rather than simply hitting the delete button, I’ve decided to post three of them here as a reminder to anyone who submits anonymously that the Master has no way to know if multiple submissions are from the same or different persons, or even the intent of the submitter unless it is directly stated. This is complicated even further since the Master may check the in-box only once a day, or even every other day (since spending time with House Boys is more fun than reading messages).

In most cases, it’s probably better not to mask who you are, so that Master can send a private reply and begin a dialogue. You can always ask that your ID be withheld and the conversation be held in confidence, and I will strictly honor that request. Trust is paramount in Master-boy relationships, and I will not break that trust. Ask for a private reply, you will get one.

There isn’t a lot the Master can do with an anonymous submission except to read it… reflect… and move on to the next one.
