The House Boy is always required to respond to the Master’s mention of the ‘Back Door’ with a question asking which ‘Back Door’ is being discussed. The two primary ‘Back Doors’ in the House Boy’s life are the wooden one at the rear of the house and the wood-ready one at the rear of the boy himself.

The protocol calls for the House Boy to respond directly to the Master with the phrase, “Do you mean the back door to the house or do you mean my anus, Sir?”, regardless of who may be present and may overhear. The phrase may be reversed without penalty. (“Do you mean my anus or do you mean the back door to the house, Sir?”) and the boy is permitted to lower his voice for discretion, though the Master may always ask him to 'Speak Up’ if the voice becomes too hushed. When the context of the conversation implies a different back door – such as the hatchback to an automobile or a back door to a business or other location, the boy should substitute the alternate back door while still asking about his anus. Once the proper 'Back Door’ has been clarified by the Master, the boy should carry out the order. This includes similar orders such as checking on, cleaning, washing, and even placing a note on the back door.

All full-time live-in House Boys except those with religious or personal objections are collared under rules which allow the Master to lock their 'Back Door’ while part-time and temporary boys are usually exempt, but the requirement to respond to the Master’s mention of the 'Back Door’ with the appropriate question applies to all House Boys regardless of location or circumstance since the word 'anus’ is considered Appropriate Terminology’ (See below, Rule #123). The boy may substitute the word 'bottom’ or 'behind’ for the word 'anus’ only if the Master asks the boy to repeat his question after the boy properly uses the word anus in the first place.

Part-time and temporary House Boys who request to serve under rules allowing 'Back Door Locking’ must furnish their own device. In return for the Master’s right to lock and unlock the 'Back Door’ at the Master’s sole discretion, the part-time or temporary House Boy may choose to be excused from a single Level One Spanking for misbehavior each day, or he may negotiate an individual rule allowing for a Special Privilege from the Master. Only the Master may cancel the agreement and violation for failure to immediately submit to lock ping or unlocking is a Level Three Insubordination for all House Boys.

Back Door Locking is an Approved Insertion for discipline requiring enhancement other than Figging (See below, Rules #74 and 342) and may be used to secure a Single Restraint (See below, Rule #110) or Leash/Lead (See below, Rule #5). The requirement that the House Boy responds with the phrase questioning the meaning of the term 'Back Door’ only applies when the Master is speaking directly to the House Boy, not to anyone else. The boy may assume that the phrase 'Back Door’ means the door to the house when used by anyone not acting in the capacity of the Master.
