When a House Boy is notified of an Anal Inspection while he happens to be taking a Tub Bath, he must adjust the water level to safely lie on his back while lifting his legs high in the air, then placing his hands over each respective butt cheek to dilate his anal opening, while rolling his entire body backwards to sufficiently present the inspection area for proper examination.

The House Boy is required to submit to daily, weekly, and other periodic and random inspections. Daily inspections are quick full-body inspections that are scheduled for assigned times, from one to three times each day depending on the dependability and experience of the House Boy. Weekly Inspections are more thorough full-body examinations that are pre-scheduled for a specific day and time and posted on the schedule calendar in advance. Periodic inspections are announced at random times or for-cause when a specific issue is observed by or reported to the Master. The anal inspection may be part of any daily, weekly, periodic, or random inspection. The House Boy must report for and cooperate during all inspections, regardless of who may be present and could observe.

While the House Boy is generally directed to use a shower for cleansing, there may be occasions where he is permitted or instructed to use a bathtub instead. When the House Boy is notified of an Anal Inspection while he happens to be in the bathtub, the inspection must be conducted before he is permitted to exit the tub enclosure. The protocol calls for him to finish washing and rinsing and then adjust the water level so he may safely lay on his back with both legs lifted high in the air, with his hands placed over the butt cheeks on either side of his anal opening. Sufficient water should be retained to allow for cleaning and rinsing. If too much water has been allowed to drain, he is allowed to add sufficient cold to compensate but will not be permitted to waste hot water unnecessarily. The protocol then calls for him to roll backward, keeping his legs and feet over the tub to prevent spillage, and then present the inspection area as shown in the example photo.

Anal Inspections are not scheduled with the intent of displaying the Naked House Boy to others who may be present, but the right of a curious visitor to observe any activity always overrides any desire a House Boy may have for privacy. When a guest happens to be present, the Master will explain the importance of the inspection procedure and how it ensures the health and cleanliness of this body part. Visitors will be asked to hold questions until the inspection is complete, though the Master may require the House Boy to remain in the inspection position to answer follow-up questions if necessary. When a portable shower head is available, the Master may drain the tub and use running water for rinsing instead. Should the Master have concerns during an inspection, an anal probe or enema or a topical application or light alcohol swab may be ordered. If this inspection is combined with a scrotum, penis, or testicle inspection for efficiency, the House Boy will be permitted to stand for the remaining parts to be examined. Following the passing of the inspection, the House Boy will be instructed to assume the At Ease position, then dismissed to carry on his duties and chores.

Anal Inspections are a sensitive procedure and are only conducted by the Master. Visitors will be notified in advance whenever possible so that they will not accidentally walk in on something they may not wish to view. If an anal inspection requires follow-up procedures, volunteers will only be allowed to assist when additional hands are needed for enema prep or other minimal contact externals such as applying powder or topicals. Anal Inspections conducted outside of bathtub facilities are covered under a different rule.
