The Naked House Boy is responsible for retrieving a copy of the local entertainment publication and bringing it to the Master. This is a weekly publication and the boy may either pick up the paper during his other errands or he may walk to the nearest place where it is available on publication day. Currently, that walk is about two blocks. The boy is also responsible for finding and obtaining a copy of similar publications when traveling with the Master out of the area if the Master so orders. Usually, the Master will want entertainment information if the trip involves an overnight stay.

In the example photo, the House boy is seen walking naked to a street-side newspaper dispenser to retrieve a copy of the free paper. It would be nice if the Master could really make the boy do this chore naked at home, but anti-nudity laws don’t allow this where the Master lives, so the boy would be given at least one article of clothing or covering while completing this chore. Occasionally the Master does travel to places and events where nudity isn’t an issue – including resorts at Palm Springs and elsewhere – and the boy will be required to complete this duty naked wherever nudity is legal or traditional. Footwear and headwear are optional.
