The House Boy will be responsible for fueling all of the Master’s vehicles. When traveling with the Master, the boy shall be given the Master’s credit card or cash and complete the transaction at the pump, unless the Master directs the boy to make a purchase inside. The boy shall request and return a receipt for all purchases to the Master promptly. The tank will be filled to at least the shut-off point when nearly full and stopped on an even 25¢, 50¢, 75¢, or a whole dollar amount without any spillage. Unless told otherwise, the boy will not elect to purchase a car wash, since the boy is assigned to perform that duty himself.

A House Boy who is permitted use of a vehicle for errands or who works or attends classes outside the home will be issued a gas card for this purpose after he has passed his probationary period. There will be no requirement to stop filling the tank on a specific number, but all other requirements must be met. Unauthorized use or purchases on the Master’s card will result in loss of card privileges and a Level Three punishment.

As with any rule, the boy is not required to be naked in public where it is illegal, so the boy will usually be clothed for this duty. The word clothes does not necessarily mean fully clothed, and the Master has been known to make his boy remove his pants and pump gas wearing only shorts or bikini underwear, depending on the Master’s mood.

Violation of this rule calls for a Level One punishment for each item that does not meet expectations, and a Level Two if gasoline is spilled on the exterior of the car or pavement.
