Dealing With Resistance

Interpretation – Dealing With Resistance

Most House Boys who serve are obedient and complaint. This is because they have been familiarized with the rules and signed off on each and every rule before beginning service in Master’s Kingdom. The application process even gives each boy an opportunity to ask for exemptions or exceptions – with good reason – to a limited number of rules or protocols. Still, there are circumstances where a boy may become resistant to Master’s authority, or the authority of a Temporary Superior when Master is busy or away for a short time.

Once a boy is officially collared, his right to negotiate rules and protocols has ended, and changes can only be made where the rules themselves allow it. Resistance will not be tolerated, whether it’s because a boy improperly evaluates a circumstance, is fighting an inner brattiness, or simply wants to change the rules he has previously agreed to. Master has the right and responsibility to use force, if necessary, to ensure that authority and order are maintained.

In the circumstance pictured, Master and boy are visiting one of Master’s friends in another state, when Master orders the boy to accompany the friend on a walk across his estate to a swimming hole alongside a nearby stream. The boy resists because he is afraid of snakes. He had earlier heard Master’s friend telling a story about how some ‘kinfolk’ had killed a snake alongside the same stream just a few days earlier. The humiliation of being led naked to the swimming hole may also elevate his emotions. Instead of posing the two questions that the Paramount Rule permits him to ask (‘Is it legal?’ and ‘Is it safe?’) the boy refuses to obey. So instead of explaining that no poisonous snakes are native to the area and the swimming hole is on private property where nudity is legal, Master and his friend use their authority to force the boy to comply. He is led – humiliated and crying – down to the swimming area where the other swimmers watch in amusement as the naked boy is doused and washed with a brush, prior to receiving a Level Two spanking for putting up the resistance in the first place.

If the boy had obeyed the original command or asked and learned that the command was legal and safe, he wouldn’t have suffered the indignity of naked punishment in front of the other swimmers. Master and his friend had led other boys to the swimming area on previous trips, and the other swimmers just assumed the boy was a nudist or forgot his swim trunks that day. But this time – with this boy – it was obvious that the boy had misbehaved and was being punished naked for all to see.

It is always better for a boy to obey the rules. Failure to do so may worsen his predicament. Master calls it “The Kingdom Of Mine”, and Resistance Is Futile.
