The House Boy is usually permitted to use furniture but must ask for permission to use the furniture outside his bedroom each day. Once permission has been granted, it continues until the boy’s next rest or sleep period of four hours or more. Violation, when discovered, is a flat ten swat Level One punishment, followed by the boy asking permission as he should have.

When the boy has earned recreational privileges such as tablet use or laptop but does not have permission to use the furniture, he must use the carpet or floor surface to sit or lie upon. Beverage spillage must be avoided and will be punished at Level Two and the boy will only be allowed beverage access in the kitchen area for the remainder of the day. When using the floor or carpet, the boy must keep either his penis and testicles visible or his buttocks substantially visible at all times.

Permission to use furniture may be canceled by the Master at any time. When the Master is away – either of the property or out of the room that the boy occupies – any guest may temporarily suspend the boy’s permission to use furniture for any reason, except that that boy may always complete assigned chores or sleep regardless of permissions. Suspension of furniture privileges by a guest continues until the Master returns or the person imposing the suspension changes their mind.
