During the warmer time of year when the outdoor pool is open for use, the House Boy may be permitted or required at the Master’s discretion to participate in Competitive Water Sports or other group water activities, doing so while remaining naked at all times and maintaining respectful and sportsmanlike behavior throughout, regardless of who may be present and participating or observing.

The House Boy is permitted to participate in Competitive Water Sports in the Master’s pool when invited to do so during his recreation time, or with the Master’s permission at other times whether home or away. The House Boy is still responsible for prioritizing and completing all duties and chores. He also may be volunteered to participate in Competitive Water Sports by the Master or others during pool events and free-swimming times when he is already enjoying water or poolside recreation at home.

The House Boy is required to remain naked when using the Master’s pool at all times regardless of circumstance, though the wearing of optional water shoes is permitted. There is no exemption to the Nudity Rule (Rule #1) regardless of who may be present and could observe. Signage is posted in the pool area to remind visitors that the House Boy is not permitted to wear clothing or trunks, and the Master does not invite guests to use the pool area without telling them about the House Boy’s duty to remain naked at all times. Behavior and decorum must be kept strictly appropriate, and compliance with all other rules and responsibilities is mandatory.

Visitors who are permitted to invite guests of their own are responsible for explaining in advance that the House Boy is not permitted to wear any clothing. Failure by a guest to do so will be dealt with by the Master — and may result in loss of pool or visitor privileges by the negligent guest — but is never an excuse for any House Boy to cover or conceal his nudity at any time.

From time to time, the Master may permit trusted neighbors, colleagues, relatives, or friends direct access to the pool area through the coded-lock side gate, either on a scheduled or unannounced basis. Additional Pool Signage (Rule #228) explaining House Boy nudity is posted near this entrance to reduce the possibility that a first-time or vanilla guest is caught by surprise at the sight of a Naked House Boy on the premises.
