The Naked House Boy’s primary responsibilities are at home serving the Master and tending to guests and chores, though arrangements for boys to work or attend classes outside the home are possible. Many boys also have an interest in becoming a volunteer or otherwise serving their physical or virtual communities by donating their labor and skills.

House Boys are permitted to use their assigned and earned recreational time for non-sexual volunteer work outside the home, providing it does not interfere with the boy’s major responsibilities at home, including event nights and chores which can not be rescheduled. The Master must be aware of and approve the volunteer work to be performed, and preference will be given to activities that allow or encourage the boy to be naked or nearly so. For approved volunteer work, the boy is permitted to use a house vehicle for transportation, subject to the usual rules for arriving and departing and vehicle usage.

In the example shown, the House Boy has expressed an interest in playing for a community soccer team, but the team isn’t in need of players and instead offered to let the boy work as groundskeeper during practices until an opening for a player develops. Some soccer teams have a tradition of making the new guy participate in antics that involve nudity, and this team has told the boy that if he wants to play on the team that he first has to be groundskeeper without clothing at their private practices in order to pass ‘initiation’. Little does the boy know that the coach of the team happens to be a friend of the Master’s and the whole nudity requirement was suggested by the Master in the first place.

The Master’s House Boy is never required to be naked except where it is legal or traditional, but on this isolated soccer field – which is fenced and on private property – the manager of the team happens to own the ground that the field sits on and can decide to change the dress code anytime he wants to, at least during a private practice with only his own team members present. Soon the boy will be issued a uniform and qualify to play in a game, but you can bet he will still be required to shower naked even if he is the only one doing so. This might not be baseball, but the Master has all his bases covered.. or uncovered… as the case may be.
