The Naked House Boy is permitted – but not required – to wear appropriate footwear except when specifically prohibited by another rule or the Master’s command. Slippers and indoor-appropriate footwear will not be worn outdoors without specific permission. Water shoes are permitted only at the poolside or in wet conditions. It is the responsibility of the House Boy to keep footwear properly attached and laces tied (or straps latched) to avoid injury. Violation of this rule is considered a Level One offense.
