House Boys are permitted access to beverages 24 hours a day unless permission has been revoked or suspended. This includes access to bottled and filtered waters (and tap water, too), soft drinks, teas and juices, and alcoholic beverages for those of age. Retrieval and consumption of beverages must not interfere with the carrying out of the boy’s assigned duties and chores or result in a substantial waste of product, or this privilege may be reduced or curtailed. When beverage privileges are reduced or suspended, the boy will still have full access to all beverages for the purpose of delivering them to the Master or guests and will still have access to clear water in any form. Upon request, the House Boy may have a mini-refrigerator installed in his bedroom to store the beverages of his choice. Beverage access is not permitted when discipline is pending or being administered, or during inspections, shower times, discipline, and the weekly cleaning enema. The Master reserves the right to update this rule at any time, providing that access to clean water is always maintained.
