Commands & Protocols – ‘Jump’ Command
The ‘Jump’ Command is an immediate action order that requires the House Boy to bend his legs at the knees and catapult himself vertically into the air. Unless there is obviously something that needs to be jumped over (like a small stream while hiking or an oily spot on a sidewalk) the Jump Command is to be executed vertically and without hesitation. Exceptions are permitted only when the boy is carrying something likely to break or cause injury, or when jumping would be dangerous or illegal (See ‘Paramount Rule’). A boy carrying a cup of hot coffee or a stack of glassware, for example, would be within his rights to place the items down before jumping, but the same boy carrying a red plastic cup of iced tea or a paper plate with chocolate pudding must immediately obey the order and jump to avoid punishment. A boy who does not fully execute the Jump Command by jumping as high as possible may be ordered to ‘Jump Again’ until the command is completed properly.
In the example photo, the Master has given a House Boy the Jump Command at the poolside to demonstrate the boy’s obedience in front of first-time guests at a pool party. The boy, realizing that the Master is just showing off his authority, jumps high into the air and flashes the guests a friendly smile. The Master responds by saying “Good Boy” while giving a nod of approval and rewards the boy with one hour of Recreational Time to enjoy a swim and refreshments. Despite all the rules and protocols at the Master’s house, life is good here for obedient House Boys, and there is ample recreational time for the boys to enjoy activities of their choosing. The same is not so true for brat boys and boys who act out or have difficulty learning the rules. Despite the presence of first-time guests, the Master would not have hesitated to pull the naked house boy over the Master’s knee or order him to bend over and grab his ankles for a very embarrassing spanking on the boy’s tender little bottom as punishment for any hesitation to carry out the command that was given.
Each House Boy’s behavior and personality determines the type of experience he has while living with and serving the Master. Some boys seek mentorship and approval and rarely act out, while others need physical discipline, verbal lectures, and psychological humiliation to grow into better servants. The Master enjoys working with these boys too, just like a cowboy enjoys breaking a wild horse.
And the guests always enjoy watching the rodeo. Yee-Hah!
