Interpretation – Use of Salute when Silenced
House Boy’s are prohibited from speaking or making intentional noises after a Silent Command has been issued, but the boy is still responsible for responding affirmatively to commands that the Master issues. The ‘Salute’ should be used by a boy to tell the Master “Yes, Sir” without actually saying those words. A House Boy should never have any reason to say “No, Sir”, but if he does then he should do so by assuming an appropriate position for the Level One spanking he will likely receive. A salute with only one finger will be treated as a Level Three Insubordination.
