The Master hosts several themed events each year, including at least one Costume Party, two to three Retro Nights, and in some years an Adult Halloween Party. Since the House Boy serves naked and has no right to privacy, the boy may be required to be costumed with body paint instead of clothing at these events. The House Boy may be given some choice in color palette or theme, but the Master has the final authority of design and selection of an artist to paint the House Boy for the occasion.

The House Boy is required to cooperate fully with anyone selected to do the artwork. Body paints or other materials will be safe and non-allergenic. The boy may be given an exception to the nudity rule at some events, to allow for consistency of theme or reduction of cost.

At themed events, the House Boy will cooperate with reasonable requests by others to examine his costume, as would any other costumed guest. Wardrobe malfunctions – such as smeared paint – may be corrected during the event, if possible. If an actual costume or mask is the appropriate ‘dress code’ for an event at home or away, the boy will be issued a costume that is suitable. Master reserves the right to still require partial or full nudity despite the wearing of a mask or revealing costume, and the boy may be transported to and from the event in body paint or costume, including stops en route. Steps will be taken so that the boy is not violating any laws or safety considerations (for example travel by limo or private van).
