Removal Of Prohibited Underwear
(Melvin Technique)
When a House Boy who is clothed and away from home is discovered to be wearing prohibited underwear or underclothing the unauthorized garments must promptly be removed, and when the violation occurs in a public area where removal of clothing would expose the House Boy in violation of local dress codes then Master shall have the right to enforce proper attire through any safe means including authorization or application of the Melvin Technique or ‘wedgie’ to physically lift and stretch the fabric upward until it is either removed or destroyed, or alternatively can be placed around a fixed object or the forehead of the House Boy to persuade him of the need to find a way to remove the garment himself.
