Duties & Chores – Use of Umbrella and Umbrella Escort
The Master’s House Boy may be required to escort guests to and from their vehicles on request. Two umbrellas are available for guests and the boy to access in inclement weather, one in the coat closet nearest the front door and another near the rear entrance. It is the responsibility of the boy to keep guests as dry as possible, even when this means that the boy may become wet or uncomfortable. When there are warm rains from spring to fall – during the season that the pool is maintained for daily use – the House Boy is not excused from nudity while escorting visitors, unless the outside temperature falls below 60 degrees or it is windy. The boy is permitted to wear footwear or a hat and is not required to escort guests off the property. Use of a transparent raincoat or rain suit is permitted with the Master’s permission.
During the winter months when the pool is closed – and any time there are high winds or the outside temperature is below 60 degrees – the boy is permitted to temporarily get dressed to protect himself from the cold and other inclement conditions, provided he only dresses to provide the escort and then undresses when the service is complete. The boy is not permitted to wear underwear at any time, and any boy caught wearing underwear is subject to having them forcibly removed.
Guests are encouraged to call ahead if they wish the House Boy to provide an Umbrella Escort on arrival. The House Boy must request permission to use an umbrella for his own personal use unless the weather is so severe that failure to use an umbrella would constitute a health hazard. Umbrellas must never be held or placed where they will block the view of the House Boy’s genitals or buttocks at any time.
