The Master’s House Boy is generally required to go about his duties and chores naked at home and is only allowed clothing in public or other places where nudity is not legal or traditional. The boy has no right to privacy of any kind and is even required to stay naked when guests visit or when he is doing something physically revealing or otherwise embarrassing. The House Boy, though treated well and given a safe environment, is the lowest person in the household pecking order at all times, and is expected to share or vacate space without complaint at any time. Since the boy has no right to privacy, any activity he engages in can be observed by those nearby or even the curious who happen to be visiting. The boy must accept that occasionally he may have to share water when time doesn’t allow for two consecutive showers, or to exit a toilet at an inconvenient moment when someone else needs the commode and that his exercise periods and inspections and even his weekly cleansing enema could be observed by anyone curious who happens to be present. When unexpected situations occur – or the boy is sufficiently embarrassed – he may occasionally act out to the point Master must issue discipline.

House Rules and punishments are written to maintain an orderly environment that is usually kept suitable for Master’s more vanilla friends, but formal enough that the House Boy won’t manipulate the circumstance to get away with misbehavior. Accidental errors by the boy are dealt with using minor punishments, while intentional or repeat offenses invite more severe sanctions. Discipline is carried out in front of whoever happens to be present, except when the guest would be offended or would not understand. Insubordination or otherwise disrespecting Master’s authority in front of others can jeopardize Master’s friendships and professional relationships, and the boy who engages in this activity is subject to the harshest of sanctions, up to and including immediate dismissal from service, whether naked or not.

In the example pictured, the House Boy is laying naked on his bed while a visitor sits on the edge of the bed playing a video game. House Rules require the boy to keep his penis and testicles (or buttocks) visible at all times (See ‘Nudity Rule’), which explains why he is laying on top of the sheets and blankets. The rules also require him to share his bed space with anyone who wants to watch TV or use any electronic equipment nearby. Since the boy is the lowest in the pecking order to determine activities, the visitor gets to decide whether the boy participates in the gaming session or is only allowed to observe. Finally, if the boy had a previously scheduled activity or chore then he wouldn’t be lounging in his bed, so we can safely assume that this picture shows the boy during his permitted ‘free’ (or ‘recreational’) time.

Unfortunately, it appears that the House Boy is copping some kind of an attitude. If you look closely, the boy can be seen 'flipping the bird’ either at Master or perhaps at the visitor holding the video game controller. This is generally prohibited (See 'Violation – Middle Finger’), though an exception exists if the boy was ordered or permission was given to use this hand signal. More importantly, Master must determine the boy’s intent, since a quick flash of the finger in jest is a minor violation compared to intentional display as an obscene gesture meant to challenge or show resistance. Finally, Master needs to determine whether the gesture is directed at the guest, perhaps for invading bed space or excluding the boy from gaming, or to Master for allowing these events or for some other reason in the boy’s mind. Master must evaluate all of these variables, which could lead to incredibly serious punishment or even no punishment whatsoever, depending on the circumstances.

In the case of the circumstance pictured, Master already knows that the boy hadn’t been given permission to flip the bird, so the gesture isn’t going to be excused as obedience to a command or rule. And since the boy’s eyes are directed away from the house guest, Master will also assume that the finger is meant for Master and not being directed toward the guest himself. Finally Master must evaluate the context of the entire event sequence: “Do the total circumstances lead Master to believe that the boy is being insubordinate to Master, or is the gesture an impulsive reaction meant humorously to shake off anxiety or lighten the mood?” In this case, a determination would be made by the facial expression and body language of the boy and evaluated against the words and actions of the event sequence. In the photo, we can’t see the boy’s facial expression, but his body seems relaxed and we can assume he isn’t saying or doing anything else resistant or challenging of Master’s rules or authority.

For first offenses, the benefit of the doubt goes to the boy when Master is unsure of the boy’s intent. Repeat violations on the same day or any time under similar circumstances do not receive leniency. For the circumstance pictured – the first violation – the gesture would neither be excused without discipline nor be charged as serious insubordination subject to harsh punishment while restrained. A Level Two Discipline would be issued, calling for an immediate spanking with an implement like a paddle or ruler for the number of swats Master feels appropriate, likely only a handful. Since the House Boy has no right to privacy at any time, the visitor and any other house guests would decide for themselves whether to avoid or observe the discipline, which would take place in another room of the house.

Unfortunately for the House Boy, this particular offense is one of the few violations that specifically require 'Enhancement’ prior to the spanking. The boy will be ordered to kneel or squat while something like a piece of ginger root or a dildo is inserted into his anus, and will remain there until after the completion of his spanking and subsequent corner time (See the rules for 'Figging’ and 'Corner Time’). Since the House Boy has no right to privacy at any time, he also has no right to prevent a curious visitor from witnessing the anal insertion up close and personal. Master would explain that this is simply the required discipline procedure while apologizing and explaining to the guest that he doesn’t have to watch if he does not want to.

House Boys can avoid embarrassing punishments like this one by being a 'Good Boy’, compliant and obedient. These are the boys who like to please, and Master adores them for their dedication to service. Other boys are more impulsive or moody, with less self-control. It’s that second group of boys who will become familiar with this type of punishment. Master adores them too, for a different reason.

Providing needed correction to boys who have been neglected or have received improper training is the responsibility of a caring Master. When impulsiveness or moodiness causes a boy to lose self-control, a proper end to the situation will always be at hand. Or as Master likes to say, “All is well that ends well.”
